In April, Director of the School of Social Work Jack Wall announced that the MSW enrollment would increase slightly from the initial drastic cut from 110 MSW students to 60, in part because of student and faculty activism:
"Both student organizations, some faculty and community agencies and alumni were actively involved in advocating for increased enrollment for the MSW program... Several meetings were held with the dean of CASA and upper administration to explore options to increasing the MSW enrollments. I am pleased to inform you that we received confirmation recently that we could enroll 80 MSW students for the fall." -Dr. Wall via MSW Google Group email April 16
But the issue is ongoing. We must continue to fight for increased enrollments, for the sake of our program and community!
